A CONSCIENCE OF SIN AND THIRST FOR GOD!

WHAT IS A CONSCIENCE OF SIN? Conscience
What you have when you are bothered by a secret sin and are aware that it is threatening to damage your relationship with God unless you go quickly and be restored to Him.
1. Sin separates from God.
2. Conscience is conscious of this and brings conviction
3. Conviction: accuses, no excuses!
4. Confession: should be the result.This is where thirst for righteousness & forgiveness helps.
5. Thirst for God intensifies repentance!
NEED FOR CONSCIENCE OF SIN
People are not always aware of their sin..
So, Confronting Someone of their Sin! .. Risky!sundaynov8 081
Jesus said: If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault. MAT 18:15
Nathan: “You are the man!”
Paul: Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently.. GAL 6:1
James: My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back.. JAM 5:19

CONSCIENCE OF SIN WILL SHOW THIRST FOR GOD!
THE MOCKER VERSUS THE WISE,PRO 9:7-9
As you Correct, Rebuke, Teach..

Wise will love you, and will be wiser still and increase learning!
Conscience of Sin will show thirst for God!
Isa 64:6  All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. :7  No one calls on your name or strives to lay hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us and made us waste away because of our sins.
WHAT SIN HAS DONE:  COMPLETE DAMAGE!

WHAT DAVID DID: COMPLETE REPENTANCE!
1. Sorrowing for Sin, v2-3
2. Confessing Sin,  v4
3. Turning away from Sin, v6-7
4. Asking God’s Forgiveness, v9-10
5. Desiring God’s Presence, v11
6. Rejoicing in Salvation, v12
7. Testifying to God’s Goodness,  v13-15

BROKEN CONTRITE HEART! Conscience2
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 51:16-17
This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word. Isaiah 66:2b
I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit… Isaiah 57:15b
