A Church Planting Program
We have been involved in church planting since 1986 and we have developed the church planting system called Summer of Service (S.O.S.).
S.O.S. as a chruch planting system is primarily a membership mobilization program. Ordinary believers volunteer to spend a month of their summer vacation evangelizing in a target place. Using the `Contact-convert-congregate’ action plan, a congregation is formed and turned over to a pioneer pastor who continue the work when the volunteers return home. A new church is planted!

A program of acceleration
We have offered SOS as a church planting system to accelerate the planting of churches and help reach the goal of the Assemblies of God in the Philippines: `Harvest 5000 by 2010′.
Church planting is better learned by actually doing it. SOS church planting laboratories are conducted nationwide by the Assemblies of God Philippines every summer. Join one!

Now, a response to Saturation Challenge
After the decade, 2000-2010, did we reach the goal of Harvest5000? Sorry to say NO we did not. But our work is beyond 2010. At the beginning of 2011 PGCAG General Superintendent put out the new rallying call for church planting :SATURATION CHALLENGE. It is a challenge to saturate every town, city and baranggay of our nation with churches.
The mobilization of the ordinary believers in our local churches – which is the life force of SOS church planting – is most fitting strategy to accomplish this. W e are CHALLENGED BY THE SATURATION CHALLENGE and therefore respond to do our part in fulfilling it.
