PRACTICUM IN MCKINLEY BY CHURCH PLANTING MODULE PARTICIPANTS

After four days of classroom sessions, the participants in the Church Planting Module had fieldwork in Mackinley, Roxas City. After a couple of hours of knocking on doors in the community, the group had 44 good contacts and had 17 Bible study appointments. They also had the hands on experience of filling up the IPR form (Individual Progress Report form) to document the results of their fieldwork. They were then served dinner by the Cabarles family who will later serve as the host for the House church that is hoped to be formed in the Mckinley community as a result of the said practicum.

SOS 2012 ENLISTMENT BUILDS UP AT FARM

Enlistment for SOS 2012 started weeks ago and continue to build up Sunday after Sunday. SENDERS also start buying gift certificates for the support of the missiopns trip of the GOERS.  Currently, students and young professionals are highly motivated to join SOS 2012 because of the powerful testimonies of Movers who joined SOS 2011. The FARM women are  equally fast growing in their number of enlistments. Surely, more FARM men will also decide to go this year because of the increase of FARM who led as Field Directors last summer.

FARM GETS BUSY HOSTING AT THE BEGINNING OF 2012

Before the first week of the year 2012 is over, FARM got busy hosting  the Eastern Capiz Section Missions Rally. The event was designed to motivate and train the church planting teams and leaders of the churches of ECS under the leadership of the newly elected presbyter Rev. Leoncio Bonilla.  Eighty   pastors, church planing team members and leaders of the ECS churches attended;  thirty-one   of which are from FARM. At the end of the sessions, the group decided to plant a total of 28 baranggay churches within 2012.

Consequently, Pastor Rey Calusay said this:

FARM HOSTS SOS 2011 TRAINING

SOS 2011 SUMMARY DATA

Responding to the PGCAG Saturation Challenge, SOS 2011 is  history in the making. The NWVDC  and WVDC    grew  because of church planting using SOS. The culture of church planting through mobilization of ordinary believers has taken root  among the district  leaders , pastors and local church members  of these two districts. These two districts pledged to raise 400 volunteers to send to the different  host  districts and help them plant churches in their target places this summer. The volunteers are to be formed into groups to join local volunteers of host districts.  This would mean 400 church pastors and members, each to raise Php 4000.00 for their individual month long church planting trip.    At the close  of registration period in Roxas City  last April 11, 2011, the final count was 415 volunteers.  We are still collecting data as to the total number of volunteers raised by host districts. Some districts will have their training a week later so we can’t yet report  the final count.*

Below is the summary data  about this 415 volunteers:
Total number of volunteers  415
Volunteers raised by  by  NWVDC     212
Volunteers  raised by WVDC  203
Number sending churches    128
Female volunteers   235
Male volunteers    180
Age bracket of volunteers  13-64

There are a handful of children in the teams because there are several families who enlisted. Noteworthy is the family of the NWVDC District Superintended  Rev. Jose Estrebilla.

Summary data about SOS 2011 Nationwide:
Total number volunteers    415 + local volunteers of host districts*
Host Districts   10
Training Centers  13
Target Places   32

The training in Roxas City concluded last night, April 15, 2011 and  a big percentage of volunteers are now traveling to different directions all over the Philippines. Fieldwork will start Monday in some target places. Some are still going on and others will commence next week.

For regular reports from training venues and fieldwork, check out the SOS National Face book group:
SATURATION CHALLENGE.

Please pray for a great harvest of souls. Pass this info to others as well. Thank You! HMD
